Feine kleine Dorfmusik aus Haldern: Das Berliner Künstlerduo SpringerParker begleitet das Haldern Pop Festival, speziell die Spiegelzeltkonzerte, seit nunmehr drei Jahren. Ihr Film „Eine kleine Dorfmusik“ berichtet aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln von dem kleinen Festival an einem August-Wochenende im Jahr 2010. Das angenehm unaufgeregte Filmdokument erzählt von dem Festival, bei dem sich mitten im Grünen einmal im Jahr MusikliebhaberInnen aus der ganzen Welt treffen. Alle haben eines gemein: Sie kommen, um Musik zu lauschen, die in der kommerziell dominierten Medienlandschaft kaum eine Öffentlichkeit findet. Die Künstler belohnen die leidenschaftliche Aufmerksamkeit der weitgereisten Fans. Einfühlsam und pointiert werden emotional tiefe bis ekstatische Konzertmomente des Haldern Pop Festival 2010 eingebettet. Haldern ist ein kleines Festival mit unfassbar großen musikalischen Momenten, zauberhaften Entdeckungen und der allgegenwärtigen Sehnsucht nach dem Echten und Schönen. So every year in August more than 400 people handbuild the Haldern Pop Festival and bring their dream of an independ music festival to life. Whatever the weather and always with surprising guests. Musicians from all over the world and rural traditions get together and tell a touching story about „Heimat“ and the vital power of culture. „Wir leben mitten in der Pampa, da muss man eben was machen.“ sagt Stefan Reichmann, künstlerischer Leiter und Geschäftsführer von Haldern Pop. Also bauen mehr als 400 Menschen aus dem Dorf jedes Jahr im August das Haldern Pop Festival auf und lassen ihren Traum vom eigenen Musikfestival lebendig werden. Christoph „Lupus“ Lindemann, Simon „Dragon“ Bouteloup und Christoph „Tiger“ Bartelt sehen nicht nur aus, wie aus der Zeit gefallen, sie klingen auch so. Dabei sind die Berliner noch ganz jung und erst 2010 auf dem Hardrock-Markt angekommen. In ihrem Sound mischen Kadavar Elemente aus Kraut-, Stoner- und Psychedelic Rock. Und immer wieder klingt bei ihnen der groovige, blueslastige Sound durch, der Bands wie Led Zeppelin oder Black Sabbath einmal groß gemacht hat. 2012 brachten die Jungs ihr selbstbetiteltes Debüt heraus und spielten unter anderem mit ihrem Idolen von Pentagram. 2013 folgte der Zweitling mit dem lustigen Titel „Abra Kadavar“. Champs are the two brothers Michael and David. They are from the Isle of Wight, England and they released their debut album "Down Like Gold" in 2013. This is a new and unreleased track called "Forever Be Upstanding By Your Door". It's been recorded in the Spiegeltent at Haldern Pop Festival in a gap between two bands. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots. Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions. We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.
