Want to know how I find keywords that bring me tons of traffic? It's maybe the most important part of nailing your SEO strategy. 68% of online activity starts with a query in a search engine like Google or Bing. Identifying the right word to include in your content is essential. And according to Ubersuggest 89% of the keywords get only 10 monthly searches or fewer. And according to Atrex, only 0.16% of the most popular keywords are responsible for 60% of all searches. What does that tell you? If you want your keywords to actually show up in your audience searches, you have to choose them extremely carefully. SEO is not a strategy where you can guess and hope for the best. Want me to tell you my favorite keyword strategy? Well, let's dive right in. RESOURCES & LINKS: Answer The Public: 🤍 Moz: 🤍 SEO Unlocked: 🤍 Ubersuggest: 🤍 Step one, keyword discovery. This can be the most difficult part about the process but you need to get it right. I see a lot of beginners make mistakes in this phase. Maybe they'll choose really broad targeted words or obscure phrases that no one is searching for. That's why I love using keyword research tools like Ubersuggest or even Answer The Public. So once you head over to Ubersuggest, all you have to do is import a phrase and click search. You'll get a detailed breakdown that includes search volume, which is the number of searches per month, SEO difficulty, estimated competition for organic search, paid difficulty, estimated competition for paid search, cost per click. But the best part, scroll down and you'll see plenty of variations of the keyword phrase you search for. If you're on a tighter budget, optimize a low competition, low cost per click option that still gets you good results or choose a few different ones and A/B test them to see what kind of results you're getting by running some Google paid ad campaign. And then from there, use the five keyword idea variables to expand your search. Seeing the Ubersuggest search results page, you'll see suggestions, related, questions, propositions and comparisons. These are all tabs that you can click on to get even more keyword ideas. Step two, analyzing and choosing the best keywords. Ready to narrow down your results from step one? I like going with no more than a hundred keywords for this part of the process. Eliminate the obvious ones that you don't want to use. Ubersuggest can help you see what page is ranked for for the keywords you want to use, plus how many back reads those pages have, and how many shares they have on Facebook and Pinterest and Reddit. You can also narrow down your target keywords with Moz. If you have a pro membership or if you just have one keyword project to complete, you can always start a 30-day free trial. You can use their keyword difficulty and SERP analysis tool as well. Step three, make final choices. The last crucial step. There are four critical components for making your final choices, but first keep a spreadsheet throughout the process and make sure you're recording every single piece of data that you want to use later on. Once you have your spreadsheet, organize it, make the following considerations. If your website is commercial, go with keywords that have commercial intent. Find keywords that offer the sweet spot of high search volume plus low difficulty and minimal competition. Use keywords with high search volume with competitors that have lower domain authority and back reads. This might seem like a ton of information but making that final decision isn't the most difficult. If you've done the research and compiled the data, the hard parts are already basically done. Plus, if you have some informational keywords left over, you can always use them for other content topic ideas. If you have more questions about how to conduct better keyword research, check out the training courses I've created such as SEO Unlocked. You can find these all at NeilPatel.com/training. I want you to put these keywords in practice so that you can have high rankings, not just for your blog post pages but all the webpages and start driving traffic and sales in no time. Again, the key is to use keywords in your content. From blog posts to webpages, if you don't integrate them in within your content whether it's your title tags, your meta tags, or just within your text or your headings, you're not going to do well. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital 🤍 ►Subscribe: 🤍 to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: 🤍 ►On Instagram: 🤍 #NeilPatel #KeywordResearch #SEO #marketing
In lesson 1.1 of our SEO basics course, you’ll learn what keywords are and how to choose them using a simple 4-point checklist. * Additional SEO Resources [Playlist] SEO Course for Beginners (by Ahrefs) ► 🤍 Keyword Research Tutorial: From Start to Finish ► 🤍 Learn How to Do Effective Keyword Research for SEO ► 🤍 Keyword Research Tutorials For SEO ► 🤍 * What are keywords in the context of SEO? They’re words and phrases that people type into search engines to find what they’re looking for. Keywords are important in SEO because it sets the entire foundation for search engine optimization. The basic goal of SEO is to rank your pages for keywords that your target audience or customers are searching for. And if you’re not ranking for keywords that actually get searched, then your SEO efforts are meaningless. Keyword research is the process of finding keywords that people are inputting into search engines. How do you actually choose keywords that are worth targeting? The first thing to check is if your keyword has search demand. You’ll learn how to check for search demand in the video. The second thing to check is the traffic potential of the topic. This represents the total search traffic you could get if you were to rank at the top of Google for your keyword. Why is traffic potential much more reliable than search volume? How do you check it? We’ll go through the process in the video. The next point is to assess the business potential of the keyword or topic. Business potential simply represents the value a keyword has to your business. And “value” really comes down to your niche and your business model. You’ll learn how to do this in the video. The next point is to see if you can match search intent. Search intent represents the reason behind a searcher’s query. The way we determine that is by looking at the top-ranking pages for the keyword we want to rank for. You’ll learn how to do this in the video. Choosing keywords comes down to finding a balance in the checklist. You have to ask yourself some questions. Which questions are they? You’ll find out in the video. Keyword research is a vital aspect of SEO, and it can help you rank higher in search engines and drive more traffic to your website. First, we'll explain the difference between short-tail and long-tail keywords. Short-tail keywords are generally one or two words long and have a high search volume. Long-tail keywords are longer phrases and are more specific. While they have lower search volumes, they can be easier to rank for and are more likely to drive targeted traffic to your website. Next, we'll walk you through the process of using Google Keyword Planner. We'll show you how to input your initial keyword ideas, how to analyze the search volume, and how to find related keywords that you may not have thought of. It's important to understand search intent when doing keyword research. You want to make sure that the keywords you target match the intent of the user. Are they looking to learn something, buy something, or find information? Understanding the intent will help you create content that matches what the user is searching for. Finally, we'll explain the importance of analyzing the SERPs (search engine results pages) for the keywords you're targeting. By looking at the top-ranking pages, you can get an idea of what type of content is already ranking for those keywords. This will help you create content that is similar but better than what's already out there. Overall, keyword research is an essential part of SEO, and using tools like Google Keyword Planner can help you find the right keywords to target. By understanding short-tail and long-tail keywords, search intent, and analyzing the SERPs, you can create content that ranks higher in search engines and drives more traffic to your website.

Rank Number 1 on Google FOR FREE. Don't want to pay for expensive SEO keyword tools? This video is for you. This ChatGPT SEO video will show you 3 ways to extract your competitors' keyword without doing long research or paying for expensive SEO Tools like Ahrefs and SEMRush. Free ways to spy on your competition’s SEO - Take the best of your competitors SEO using a few tricks from ChatGPT as well as traditional SEO tricks. This is not an AI SEO video necessarily, but more of a way to find winning keywords and make your own content in that niche Google document from the video: 🤍 The first, and probably best way to spy on your competition, is to find their sitemap Finding a sitemap is fairly easy. The first thing to try is theirdomain.com/sitemap.xml - most wordpress and Shopify websites use this URL, so it’s fairly easy to find. However, sometimes people use different urls The second way to try to find the sitemap of your competitor is to go to Google and type site:theirdomain.com intext:”sitemap”, or intitle:”sitemap”. If this doesn’t work, unfortunately it’s harder to find their sitemap, and sometimes it’s easier to just move onto the next method. Use search operators If you want to gather information on your competitors, then work out their URL structure first. For example, if you just want their blog posts then do: Site:theirdomain.com inurl:/blog/ - if their blog posts have /blog/ in them, this is an easy and quick way to spy on them. You can do this with collections/products/categories also. Google generally shows the best ranking pages first, so this can be a good way to steal your competitors keywords. You should use a bookmarklet to easily take the titles of your competitor’s pages, and then use Harpa AI to extract the keywords. The final and best way Probably the best way to do this is to pay for the SEMrush free trial. Although this is not ideal, as it requires a payment method, sometimes you have to sign up for a free trial to get the best results. In that 7 days, you should download as much information as possible. This is extremely easy, as you can just export any pages you want from SEMrush. This is by far the best free method, but I didn’t include it towards the top because it requires a payment method What to do once you have this information If we’re sticking to free ways to research competitors, then we can do as follows: Find a page using the method above Use Harpa AI to take the keywords from the article Put those keywords into Google Ads Keyword Planner, or Ahrefs keyword generator, or keywordtool.io Write the article yourself and rank. This can easily verify the keyword for you and you can see whether the article is worth making for you personally. chatgpt, keywords, seo, keyword research, keyword research tutorial, how to do keyword research, keyword research tool, keyword research for seo,seo keyword research, keyword research 2023,search engine optimization, seo tutorial, how to use chatgpt, what is chatgpt, seo tutorial for beginners, keyword research tools, seo for beginners, chatgpt for seo,seo tips, seo keywords Join this channel to get access to perks: 🤍

Welcome to another day of SEO Unlocked. Today is very exciting because we're going to start the journey into keyword research. This is one of the most fundamental steps of SEO and the reason being is keywords is where it all starts. That's how people find you. RESOURCES & LINKS: Download the Musketeer Persona Worksheet: 🤍 SEO Unlocked Course Playlist: 🤍 Ubersuggest: 🤍 Google Search Console: 🤍 Are you getting the right traffic? As I mentioned, picking the right keywords will make you more money and picking the wrong ones will hurt you You can use Ubersuggest, It's a tool I built, there's a free version of it that anyone can go and use and you can get tons of keywords ideas and it breaks it down not just based on popularity, but also what's most likely going to convert and generate you revenue as well. And there's tons of reports in it and I'll show you how to use it over the period of this course. When you go to Ubersuggest on the left-hand navigation side, you'll see a link that says Keyword Ideas. When you type it in a keyword that you're trying to go after anything related to your space such as like shaving or razors, it'll tell you what's popular, the cost per click, the SEO difficulty, that's the word SD you see the abbreviation there or PD is paid difficulty. When SEO difficulty is under 40 it's easier to rank for, when it's over 40 it gets harder and harder to rank for. And on the right side of the keyword ideas report, it shows you all the people that are ranked for that keyword. How many visits are roughly getting from that keyword? How many backlinks they have? And this will give you ideas of if a keyword is good, right? In addition to that, if you don't want to use Ubersuggest there's many other ways you can go and find keywords out there. Things like Wikipedia or other content pages around the web that have really detailed content can give you keyword ideas as well because these articles are filled with lucrative keywords. You want to rank because you not only do you want traffic, but you need to be able to solve the customer's problem. If you solve their problem, you're much more likely to rank. There's really five steps to keyword success. The first is you need to build your keyword list, then need to research your target musketeer, then you need to understand the keyword metrics. Next you need to match the customer journey and of course, last but not least, you need to refine your keyword list. So first building a keyword list, you go to neilpatel.com/training and you'll be able to download the PDF there and it breaks down how you can use it and what you need to do step by step. Second, you need to research your target musketeer right? It's all about researching that individual. The other thing that I like doing is Ubersuggest, right? It's a tool on neilpatel.com you can go to neil patel.com/ubersuggest or in the navigation just click on the Tools link and then Ubersuggest type in any keyword on the left-hand navigation once you go to the Keyword Ideas Report, you'll see a list of suggestions. You don't want to just be reactive as a marketer or as an SEO, you want to be proactive and going after areas that people are going to be more interested in in the future. You can also correlate intent through prepositions. And these are all long-term opportunities that you should be trying to rank for because these long-tail keywords, a lot of people aren't thinking about them and yes they don't drive the most amount of traffic today but six months from now, a year from now, it adds up and it can drive quite a bit in conversions. Then of course there's Social Shares, so on Ubersuggest whenever you type in a keyword on the left hand navigation, there's a navigation button called Content Ideas. So people are like, Hey Neil, it's easy for you but hey, when you're a new website and even if you get 10, 20, 50, 100 visitors, hey, it shows up in Google Search Console. The other thing that you can do and this is what I love doing, is I like setting up a project on Ubersuggest and I put in my own website or you can put in your competitor's website. ► If you need help growing your business check out my ad agency Neil Patel Digital 🤍 ►Subscribe: 🤍 to learn more secret SEO tips. ►Find me on Facebook: 🤍 ►On Instagram: 🤍 🤍 #SEO #NeilPatel #DigitalMarketing
