► Social Media ◄ discord: 🤍 (backup link: 🤍 twitter: 🤍 patreon: 🤍 twitch: 🤍 osu! profile: 🤍 ► Introduction ◄ So now that I've started a streaming series, I've received lots of requests on an aim series too and here we are! An introduction to aim, really trying to understand what it actually is and what it entails because it's more complicated than one might've initially thought. It seems that aim revolves around reading, so actually to improve your aim it's really about improving your reading. You don't need to switch to tablet or anything, you just need to change your understanding of the game slightly. Snappier and more consistent aim is achieved through individual note reading - that in turn will stop you from reacting and will enable you to start reading properly. But it can't be applied 100% of the time, how can you possibly do that for streams? Well then it seems that the application of individual note reading is variable - so just remember that you stil have to apply individual note reading to some degree for everything you ever do! Then you'll get snappier and more consistent aim now that you have more control, patience and focus. ► Timestamps ◄ 00:00 - Introduction 02:14 - Understanding aim 03:06 - What is raw aim? 04:03 - What is reading? 05:40 - Exploring these elements in other games 07:15 - Understanding why reading is so important 07:33 - Reaction times and raw aim with relation to beginner jump one tricks 09:07 - Introduction to snappiness and consistent aim 09:27 - What is snap aim? ...and how I should've played a different game instead. This is just my own personal experience and I don't expect everyone to relate to this, but I hope the video empathize to the people that do. Playing in Valorant Talking over a powerpoint presentation Keyframing my character over a TED Talk A pretty chaotic video retelling my experience with struggling to fit in with the cool, normal people because of osu!. I hear the same video games that everyone else played like Valorant, Genshin Impact, League of Legends and more... that I couldn't force myself to play, which led to me drifting apart from friends. It's pretty isolating not being able to talk about something you have a strong interest to, and experiences like this led me to become more of a reserved person irl. I'm hoping the video can let people in the same position to ignore what everyone else is doing and reach out to more like minded people. The mix-media style was originally a scrapped video idea, but I decided to add to a video like this to make the storytime format a bit more interesting as well with challenge myself creatively to find different way to express myself. Cause topics like these, you can just add some random video game in the background which is lazy.

ANYWAY- It seems like this year (partially because of the influence from the previous years video maybe?), quite a number of players are focusing too hard on the idea of perfecting skills. They're not appreciating the fact that in order to improve, you need to step outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourselves. For that reason, I believe that high accuracy at a beginner level of play is not ideal for improvement. Also a brief talk on this 2 star 4 mod issue that I see pop up a lot as well. Okay, there's nothing wrong with playing around with mods but I feel like focusing on them too hard is limiting your potential a lot when you could just improve with no mods at all. Worry about them later! And finally for those asking "how do I improve at jumps?"... you just play jump maps. ► Timestamps ◄ 00:00 - Introduction 01:32 - Disclaimer 02:18 - Profile Review 02:59 - Understanding the initial growth spike 04:19 - Why it's important to make mistakes + challenge ourselves 04:33 - Why high accuracy as a beginner is not ideal 04:56 - Why focusing on mods too early is not ideal 07:10 - What the player could've done instead 07:58 - "How do I improve at jumps?" 09:14 - Why am I suggesting to play jump farm maps? 09:32 - Exploring the concept of "farm" 10:32 - In-depth explanation of why players are bad at jumps 12:17 - Overview of the process 12:58 - How to expand the aim + jump skillset 14:41 - Conclusion ► Video-related Information ◄ Examples of Jump Farm Mappers: - Sotarks - fieryrage - browiec - Log Off Now - Taeyang - Kowari - Kuki - Fycho (older style jump farm) - Reform - Onlybiscuit - Kencho - ArMiN - Doormat Jump Consistency Map Pack: 🤍 Beginner Mistake 2020 Video: 🤍 A FULL Aim Guide playlist: 🤍 other maps to help with jumps and related: join my discord and check map-packs ► Content Creators Mentioned ◄ • Umbre • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • mrekk • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • WhiteCat • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • shigetora • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • FunOrange • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • RyuK • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 • HugoFrost • Youtube: 🤍 Twitch: 🤍 ► Music ◄ • LAKEY INSPIRED - The Process • 🤍 • Zame - Jubilife City (Night Time) Remastered • 🤍 ► Patrons + Donations ◄ THANKS FOR YOUR DONATIONS!! - Neo - Lihyon xSparfuchs SSunnyLagALots auxygenify B1gB Social Distance moonryu silviu1505 Stxrmy Exairia Szczupacke ooppll Jasper DXAD Kai Yori Calvin Arnold jackSperrung Raynbow myks myks Haengsyo Sly Gizemli Uzay rqm Mr W0ong megahello #osu #beginner #aim

They lose out on the following key skills in osu: the ability to burst, the ability to stream and the ability to get good accuracy. They lose out on all of the fundamental aspects of the game because of the influences such as: 2020 farm maps being so accessible, top players having incredible aim but please realise: osu is a rhythm game, not an aim game. Don’t take it as fact, but more as an example which makes explaining these concepts easier. Same with B-A rank accuracy vs C ranks. I often hear advice like "push your limits" but what difficulty to play can be left completely up to player interpretation. Hopefully, when I give numerical examples you will have a more concrete idea of what to do or where to start.

It turns out that before you have a good go at intensive flow-aim patterns, you really need to master the tapping behind it first which will then allow you to solely focus on the flow of the stream. Maybe it's a bit strange that I've included talks on nerves and consistency for streams - why is that related you might ask? Yes it's relevant for everything in osu, but I am emphasising the importance of nerves and consistency today for streams as it allows you to maintain an automatic tapping technique no matter what circumstances you're in. This will allow you to again, focus solely on the flow of the stream. ► Timestamps ◄ 00:00 - Introduction 02:04 - What is flow aim? With all the anime, weird memes and intense discussions, sometimes interacting with the community is a major challenge. Seemingly innocent questions new players ask may actually be running jokes. Other times the stuff you would consider frustrating is just accepted as how things are around here. This video serves as a guide to help newcomers find their place easier here.
