In this video, I show how to fix the error "cannot start the ps4". Hold down the power button while the ps4 is off, until you hear 2 beeps. This will bring you to safe mode. Try one of the options in order to fix this. Update system software from internet, restore default settings, rebuild database, initialize ps4. The only one that will delete the data is the initialize PS4 option. Hope this helps! Leave a comment if you need any help. This is a 60 second work around for those of you still struggling with the the latest PS4 10.50 software update released by Sony on the 8th March. The error message and guidance is misleading as the game data isn't actually corrupted. So people shouldn't delete their downloaded games or wipe their game disc install data...it's a waste of time. The solution or work around until Sony release a fix is to get the system to close a different application instead of your game when having to clear the error. So have another app running in the background before you try and load into your game. This works with Netflix, YouTube and Twitch in my own testing. It doesn't with any of the Sky, Disney+ or Prime Video apps when I was testing. Good luck and let us know how you get on in the comments

This error code crashes applications like GTA, APEX LEGENDS and Fortnite and also, it crashes the system software causing it to run slower. The CE-34878-0 error code on the ps4 can be fixed. Playstation support states to fix this issue "Close the application, install the latest system software and game update, and restart the system. Are you having a problem with the PS4 Error Code NP 36006 5 and you want to fix the error without resetting your PS4??? This error will log you out when you try to play a video game on your PS4 and it won't allow you to sync your trophies because the data is corrupted. To fix this error, go to trophies on the PS4 main screen. Now find a trophy that has 0 % completed and delete it. For some reason deleting a trophy with 0% completed will allow you to play games again and not be logged out. No matter how many times I tried to update this ps4 to version 10.01 it would not work! It always gave this error code CE-34788-0 something went wrong. I have determined the fix was to re-install the system software because of a corrupted file.
