So I recently bought a brand new skydiving rig from UPT in America. Custom designed by me for me. As it came in many different pieces I had to have a Packed A build this for me. I spent 3 hours with Smeds watching him is his element, build my new skydiving rig. Later that week I took it for its first jump...I was pooping myself as a brand new rig like this has never been jumped and I'm now the test dummy. Needless to say, I survived :) Here is to many more on this beast!

For licensed skydivers our sport is the epitome of self reliance. You need to be sure the parachute system you are about to use is ready to perform it's job. Doing a good gear check before every jump is essential. DO TRY THIS AT HOME!! It's important to get good at doing your gear check. The best way is to practice doing them while you're at home. "Learning" to do a gear check only when you're on a jump is too late. Practice at home so by the time you're getting ready to put your rig on you'll be great at doing a gear check!

Post burning man playa clean session at my folks place. Because I live in a tiny home but I chose to clean the rig at their house. 1: Brush off excessive playa dust with plastic brush. 2: Jump the rig 5-10 times post burn 3: Get big tub, fill with water and white vinegar 4: Agitate parachute with hands. 5: Rinse off and hang to dry, scrub rig with plastic brush lightly where its still dirty. 6: Make sure its fully dry, flip it over a few times. 7: Pack main parachute 8: Plan to have reserve repacked shortly after (mines up for a repack in 30 days) 9: Enjoy!

Just a brief overview of my 1993 Northern Lite INFINITY container with Para-Flite Robo Z 165 Main and Swift 145 reserve. It comes with plenty of documentation and past history. Last jumped in late 2008 without any problems then i packed it. Now it spends most of its time at a storage facility. I loved every second of my skydiving experiences but im studying and working towards setting myself up next year so its best that the gear gets used for what its made for. Just got my new Voodoo Curv from Rigging Innovations today. Ordered it 12 weeks ago and was told it would take 10-12 weeks and on got it on the 12th week. A skydiver was killed Thursday after she strayed off course and hit a big rig on southbound Highway 99 in the Lodi area, authorities said. The accident happened around 2:15 p.m. near Jahant Road, according to the California Highway Patrol's Stockton office. CHP said the skydiver was a 28-year-old woman from Colombia. She was skydiving in a group of seven people when she was blown off course and hit the big rig, officials said.
